Phaidon, one of Great Britain's finest publishers of books on the visual arts, culture and creativity, premieres its first stand-alone store in the United States. Located at 100 Wooster Street (between Prince and Spring) in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City, the 2,500-square-foot PHAIDON | STORE is only open from November 2, 2009 through January 2010. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Saturday 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Sunday 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Telephone number: (212) 925-1900.
PHAIDON | STORE offers same-day delivery in Manhattan, personalized concierge service, gift wrapping, events and special offers. The publisher's affordable books covering art, architecture, photography, design, decorative arts, fashion, film and other subjects are available for purchase. Among the Fall 2009 titles for sale are new career monographs on Anish Kapoor and Jeff Wall. The store also features its Collector's Editions of books, each specially bound, individually signed, numbered and presented in a custom-made box with an original print by the artist.
