Städel Museum to Loan Modern Artworks to Australia

The National Gallery of Victoria in Australia will host the special exhibition European Masters: Städel Collection 19th-20th Centuries from June 19 to October 10, 2010. More than 100 paintings and sculptures from Germany's internationally renowned Städel Museum comprise the presentation. They have never been displayed outside Europe.
 
European Masters... addresses key movements, including Impressionism, Symbolism and Modernism. Among the 70 artists represented in the show are Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Henri Rousseau, Pierre Bonnard, Auguste Rodin, Maurice Denis, Edvard Munch, Max Klinger, Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee, Max Beckmann and Max Ernst.
