Susan J. Allen to Retire from Egyptian Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Susan J. Allen, Associate Research Curator in the Department of Egyptian Art at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, will retire on November 30, 2009 after more than 17 years of service.

 

A conference presenter, Dr. Allen contributed to the exhibition catalogues The Art of Medicine in Ancient Egypt (2005) and Hatshepsut: From Queen to Pharaoh (2006). She organized the traveling exposition Discovering Tutankhamun: The Photographs of Harry Burton (2006-07) and co-authored Tutankhamun's Tomb: The Thrill of Discovery (2006).
